Lonely London Lad: Talk About A Rarity

An interesting tale: When I ordered the new LLL Cowboy shirts printed, one of the shirt colors I wanted was purple. It's always a risk getting a purple shirt printed using discharge ink, because the indigo dye in the purple may or not discharge well. That is why you can't get blue shirts in a water-based discharge ink, because of that pesky indigo.

We have purple shirts in our classic art shirt, and in the debut album shirt, and it worked fine, but when the printer put the first purple shirt for the LLL Cowboy shirt on the press, he got worried. He took a look at it, and in his mind it didn't work as well as with the other colors, so he made a command decision and pulled all the purples off the production line. With the boxes of shirts, he sent me the purple shirt that he had printed, and I was expecting to see something that was unsellable.

But when I looked at it through the bag, it was fine. The ink wasn't as bright as what's on the white, black, or brown shirts, but it has a very nice pastel hue to it. And I thought that if he had done the full run, I would have been fine with it.

So I have one purple Cowboy shirt. If it were in size Large, I would keep it and wear it myself, but it's size XL, so it's too big for me. So I'm willing to sell it to the "highest" bidder (you don't have to be high when bidding on this shirt, but it could help). There aren't many occasions in life where you can be the only copy of something, but here's one of those occasions. If you're a collector, you can keep it wrapped in its shrinkwrap and sell it for thousands (or hundreds) in a few years on Ebay... of if you're a hip cat, you can wear it around town and tell your friends that it's the only shirt of its kind. The choice is yours!

So if you want it for yourself or as gift for someone else, send me a note with a bid. Consider that shipping is free, too, when placing your bid. Good luck!
